OUR STORY
WJ Edwards in a family run Business which was established in 1918 and currently run by the third generation Partners. Our aim is to constantly strive to provide a very personal service with many long standing customers returning. Having always been situated on the same site we are well recognized within the local community. We are members of the National Association of Jewellers
and the National Pawnbrokers Association.
PAWNBROKING & REPAIRS
Pawnbroking today is very different to when the shop was first established when customers would pawn the Sunday best suits at the beginning of the week and redeem after payday to wear them for church on Sunday.
Today we only take Gold Jewellery items and Sovereign Coins.
We have our own working Jeweller on site providing a repair and bespoke Service.
If you have a particular piece of Gold Jewellery you would like making and have unworn Gold items you no longer wear why not bring them in to us we may be able to use them to make that personal item. Our Working Jeweller has a wealth of experience and always happy to advise.
